SDA/OC Seminar – Professional Services Contracts – (Most-Common) Traps and Snares

Plan to attend SDA/OC’s April educational webinar.

The goal of this 60-minute presentation is to give a basic overview of/issue spotting for the most-common traps and snares found within professional liability contracts, including the scope of services, insurability issues (e.g. standard of care, indemnity), fee provisions and miscellaneous risk provisions (e.g. documents ownership/use).

Michelle’s practice is focused on the counseling and representing of small businesses, with an emphasis on design professional firms concerning liability, business matters, and related civil litigation. She has extensive experience in entity selection and formation, buy-sell/shareholder agreements, contract drafting and negotiation, ownership transitions and mergers & acquisitions, along with disputes arising out of business deal-related matters. She also practices in the areas of estate planning, and probate and trust administration.
 
Michelle received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame (BA, 1993), and her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law (JD, Cum Laude 1996). She began her law career in Minnesota (1996) and has been practicing law in California since 2001.
 
Michelle is a current member of the board of directors and the former president of the Notre Dame Club of Orange County, and acts as the Executive Director for the club’s ND2OC community service endowment. She founded and actively participates in the Notre Dame Professionals of Orange County.
